Woman At The Well

All the answers, all the gold
There was a guy back then

She forgot that he was told
She was a fountain then

Entire, inspired, down to the fast wire
She made a fountain then
In fire, in fire, down to the last wire
She was a fountain then

He was her friend
He was her friend

She supposes he is wet
She was a fountain then

She would owe her clothes and head
She let it move her then

Entire, inspired, down to the fast wire
She made a fountain then
In fire, in fire, down to the last wire
She was a fountain then

I guess the real question is "what was gushing from her"?

"Woman at the Well" reminds me of the story of Jesus and the woman at the water well. When they first talked she was full of bad stuff after she gave her life over to Jesus she was full of good stuff.

Yes she was -- she became a tributary of the very source of living water. And the thing is -- she was already a fountain when she first met Jesus, she just wasn't aware of it. She couldn't see that she was golden in the eyes of her creator.

But when she allowed herself to see (i.e. "she let it move her then"), she became a new person. It's a very powerful image.

How can we fail when Christ loves us unconditionally? About the only way that is possible, is when we don't accept the filling water He offers.

I have this hunch that every single one of His disciples "back then" (and even today), has this sense of their goldenness in His eyes. We try to hide it a lot, and make excuses why He shouldn't...but the pain truth of the matter is that He does.

He defines grace by looking down on us and calling us pure.

Go today knowing you are loved.

It is interesting to think that the same fountain can bring forth bad and good. It is like the source changes. First the evil source and than the rightious sorce. That is not normal in nature, that is , for the water to change from bad to good. But our spirtual change is not a normal thing either. First God must call me. Then I must repent, believe, confess, and recieve the change within from bad to good. I go today knowing I am loved and saved by grace.
