Love's Fury

What does this painting say to you?

I painted it, so I got my own thoughts, but I'm really interested in what it means to you in the context of where you're at in your journey. What's your story?

Love's Fury...intense, extreme, uncontrolled. As I reflect upon my journey at this point, your painting reminds me of the deep, deep love of Jesus that covers each one of us, His love is intense, extreme and there is nothing that can seperate us from the love of Jesus. Love coveres a multitude of sins and it is His love that covers and protects me and those whom I love. It flows down from heaven, uncontrolled by us, our motives or manipulations. Your chosen colors of gold and shades of red reminds me of redemption and that after we have suffered for a while we will come forth as gold, refined and purified. I read this morning a verse I Cor 16:13,14 "Be on guard. Stand true to what you believe. Be courageous. Be strong. And everything you do must be done with love." It is His love that enables me to stand true and firm and to love deeply. Thanks for your painting! J

Matt 13:24-26 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared." The picture reminds me of real life. The wheat is beatiful but those darn weeds also grow at the surface. What I am sure of about God's love for me is that nothing can seperate me from His love. Even the worst weeds in life don't stand a chance against God's love since I gave my life to Him.

the three beings or wounds or blots at the bottom appear to be reaching for the light...

that resonates with me.
