first, i agree wholeheartedly... what we omit speaks love as much or even more than what we include.

next, is that painting yours? cause it really speaks to me! it cries out of corrosion and metal, peeling automotive paint. i never thought of a cross i those terms but i think it may be the cross our culture has used to kill Jesus again and again...
Right before Jesus when to the cross, he prayed and ask God to take this brutal death and seperation from him....then he said, don't do what I want but what is necessary. As God's Son he could have stepped right out of the picture....you talk about an action that one chooses not to take....Jesus choose not to cop out...what an act of love for me.
